u:space - the portal for degree programmes and teaching

u:space – the portal for your degree programme – is the central access point for all services related to the organization of your degree programme. It will gradually replace the old portal UNIVISonline.

You can access u:space and all its applications via:
uspace.univie.ac.at

u:space for students

Students can access the u:space web applications with the u:account user ID. Within u:space they can: 

  • apply for admission to degree programmes (“Administration” > “Admission to degree programmes”)
  • enrol in an additional bachelor's programme or consecutive master's programme
  • check payment of tuition fee and students’ union fee (“Financial Matters” > “Tuition fees/students’ union fee”)
  • update personal data online which is important e.g. in case of a change of address (“Personal matters” > “Personal data”). Please note: Entering an e-mail address doesn’t mean that e-mails are being forwarded to that address.
  • Organise dates via u:find – the new course, staff and unit directory
  • register and deregister for lectures and exams (“Studies” > “Course and examination registration system”)
  • register and deregister for extension curricula (“Studies” > “Extension curricula”)
  • access examination results and record of exams (“Studies” > “Record of examinations”)
  • download and print transcript of records, confirmation of periods of study, student record sheet etc. (“Personal matters” > “My documents”)
  • apply for student scholarship and review previous applications („Financial matters“ > „Performance scholarships“)
  • vote on the use of tuition fees („Financial matters > Dedication of tuition fees”)
  • register and deregister for the graduation ceremony online and pay the fee via online banking transaction („Administration“ > „Graduation ceremony“)
  • check current portal news and "Did you know that ..." messages that provide you with helpful tips on the U:SPACE start page.
