Interrupted connection to file servers at the standard administration PC
This user guide helps you to handle an interrupted connection to the file servers on your standard administration PC.
If it looks like the computer has crashed, in most cases the connection to the file servers has been briefly interrupted. In this case, icons on the desktop are missing.
Depending on the duration of the crash and the currently running programmes, different error messages may be displayed, e.g. File could not be saved, File is write-protected or No permission for operation on file.
- In this case, wait until the connection is available again and do not exit any programme and do not shut down your computer.
- As soon as the connection is available again, you can recover the icons on the desktop by pressing the F5 key or by right-clicking the desktop and selecting Refresh.
