AI tools open up a wide range of possibilities for redesigning and providing targeted support for teaching processes. For the summer semester, Moodle has been expanded to include a function that enables the integration of Tailored AI from u:ai.

New: Tailored AI chatbots from u:ai for teaching

From now on, students can easily use the AI tool u:ai in their everyday studies. This gives lecturers the opportunity to integrate u:ai into their courses in a targeted manner. The new Moodle activity u:ai Tailored AI gives students direct access to pre-built Tailored AI chatbots. Zoom AI Companion: intelligent support for meetings

The Zoom AI Companion complements your online meetings with AI-powered features to improve efficiency and clarity – for example, through automatic summaries. If you work with Zoom whiteboards, the AI Companion can help you generate and structure ideas.

Improving accessibility: automatic subtitles for u:stream

Since the summer semester of 2025, u:stream has been offering automatic subtitling for video and audio content. Automatic subtitles are generated in the original language for all newly uploaded or recorded files. Optionally, an automatic translation with English subtitles can be generated.

Information for teachers: AI in teaching

Teachers can access the AI area of the service unit for Study Services and Teaching (in German) on the intranet. This area brings together information on the use of AI in teaching as well as available webinars and self-study courses.
