On 9 and 10 April 2026, the OER Barcamp Austria 2026 will take place at the University of Vienna, Oskar-Morgenstern-Platz 1. Under the motto #reOPEN – OER as a permanent call to action, members of Austrian universities will meet to exchange experiences, contribute ideas and continue working together on open education practices.
The two-day event combines a classic Barcamp with workshop formats, pro-action cafés and co-creation rooms. The focus is on open educational resources, open infrastructures, digital sovereignty and new developments in teaching, services and innovation in higher education.
The event has attracted significant interest and is already fully booked. It is still possible to register for the waiting list.
OER Barcamp Austria 2026 is organised by Shared OER Services for the Austrian Higher Education Sector under the leadership of the University of Vienna in cooperation with Austrian universities and builds on the OER Infrastructure Barcamps of previous years.
