License and contract information
General information
Commercial use of all software products is generally not permitted and therefore prohibited.
Software products are available in 2 types of licenses:
- For software products with a device-based license, a separate license must be ordered for each device via the self-service portal (via Uni data network/VPN). The software may be used on one device by multiple users.
To take advantage of any permitted secondary use rights, you must also order a corresponding licence for the second device via the self-service (portal). The prices of software with possible secondary use have been reduced so that you can take advantage of secondary use at virtually no extra cost.
- For software products with a personal license (named user license), each user must order their own license via the self-service portal (via Uni data network/VPN). Installation of the software is usually permitted on multiple devices.
Term explanations
- Secondary business computer: Use of the software on a second workstation device belonging to the authorised user (not simultaneously)
- Secondary private computer: Using the software on a private device, for professional purposes only
- Business usage at home: Using the software on an office or private computer at home, for professional purposes only
- Private usage: Using the software for private purposes
