This user guide helps you to install and license WinEdt.

Notes

his software is not free. You have to order it in AcadCloud.
If you have obtained the software as a download in the form of a ZIP archive, unpack the files onto your hard drive before installation. To do this, copy the contents of the ZIP file to a folder on your hard drive or right-click on the ZIP file and then select Extract All.

Installing WinEdt

According to the Windows version (32 bit or 64 bit) and language, download the respective installation file from AcadCloud.

You can find the version in Settings – System – About. Windows 10 is usually installed in the 64-Bit version.

Run the installation according to the installation wizard of the software. You can find more details in the Quick Guide PDF that is part of the installation files.

Licensing WinEdt

In the menu click Help – Register WinEdt... and type in your name and the license code you received after purchasing the software from AcadCloud in the respective window.
