Printing from the standard administration PC

This user guide helps you to solve problems with printing from your standard administration PC and to set different print settings.

Recovering disappeared network printers

When the entries for network printers disappear, this is usually due to a connection problem.

This is how you recover the entries:

  1. To be on the safe side, save all open documents.
  2. On the desktop, select the Tools folder and then Reconnect printers and drives.
  3. All printers should now be available.

Document is saved as file instead of being printed

If the window Save PDF file or Print to file appears on the screen, you have...

  • either set Print to PDF or Microsoft XPS Document Writer as the default printer – this will save the document as a PDF file or a text file,
  • or the network printers have ‘disappeared’ due to a briefly interrupted connection (see Recovering disappeared network printers on this page).
