u:print top-up station: Managing credit

This user guide will help you manage the credit balance on your u:card at the u:print top-up station in the NIG.

Location: Universitätsstraße 7, 1010 Vienna, ground floor, Computer Room 3

Requirements

  • A validated u:card. After validation, it can take up to 5 hours for the card to be activated for payment at the u:print devices. For more information about the u:card, please visit the u:card website.
  • A credit or debit card from an Austrian bank.

Topping up your credit

You can load money from your credit or debit card onto your u:card to pay at u:print devices.

  1. Tap the Credit Card entry on the touchscreen.
  2. Hold your u:card on the corresponding card reader.
  3. Enter the desired amount you wish to load onto the u:card. You can load a maximum of 25 euros.
  4. Insert your credit or debit card into the corresponding slot or hold your NFC-enabled card over the designated field (BANKKARTE).
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Printing receipts

Note

You can view receipts retroactively for up to 1 month.

  1. Tap the Receipts entry on the touchscreen.
  2. Hold your u:card on the corresponding card reader.
  3. Select the desired receipt to print it.

Transferring money back

If you no longer need the credit on your u:card, you can transfer it back to your bank account.

  1. Tap the Payout entry on the touchscreen.
  2. Hold your u:card against the corresponding card reader.
  3. Insert your credit or debit card into the corresponding slot or hold your NFC-enabled card against the designated field (BANKKARTE).
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen.
