Mathematica

This user guide helps you to license Mathematica.

 Note

  • The software is not free. You can order it from AcadCloud.
  • If you have downloaded the software in a ZIP archive, unpack the files to your hard disk before the installation. To do so, copy the files in the ZIP archive to a folder on your hard disk or right-click the ZIP file and select Extract All ...
  • The license expires on the next 31 October after it was activated. Afterwards, you have to obtain a new license.
  1. Open the Wolfram website. Create an account if you do not already have one.
  2. Enter your first name, last name and your u:account e-mail address. Do not change the selection Mathematica for Students for Sites (Single machine) under Product. Click Submit.
  3. You will receive an e-mail from Wolfram with a key that is valid for two weeks. As soon as the ZID has verified the activation of your licence, the key will be automatically renewed until the next 31 October.
  4. Open the link in this e-mail. You will be forwarded to the Product Summary within the Wolfram user portal. At Downloads you can download the appropriate software based on your operating system.
  5. Install Mathematica.
  6. When accessing the program the first time, the Product Activation window appears. Enter the key that you received by e-mail. Make sure you have an active Internet connection when you activate the product.
