Webmail, OWA

Using webmail and the Outlook Web App (OWA), university members can edit the mailbox of their e-mail address of the University of Vienna in their browser. OWA is only available to employees of organisational units that use Exchange.

Webmail and OWA do not serve as a full replacement for a locally installed e-mail programme.

To send files of 10 MB or higher, the ZID recommends using ACOnet FileSender.

For Exchange users: Outlook Web App

Employees

If you use Exchange, you will be automatically redirected from Webmail to the Outlook Web App (OWA) of the University of Vienna.

Students

With a u:account for students, you can only use Webmail if you have been admitted to a degree programme.
