Gender, diversity and inclusion
An organisational analysis of the ZID was carried out between March and June 2018. The analysis examined the challenges and opportunities facing the ZID in the context of gender, diversity and inclusion. To this end,
- ZID employees were surveyed using qualitative and quantitative methods,
- the organisational demographics were collected and
- the ZID was compared with two other university departments.

Non-discriminatory language at the ZID
In light of the Black Lives Matter protest movement, the issue of non-discriminatory language in the IT industry has been reignited. This concerns problematic IT terminology that is associated with racism. ZID supports this initiative for non-discriminatory language because diversity and equality have always been very important to us.
