Ordering a MindManager account for employees

This user guide will help you to obtain a MindManager account for the University of Vienna via the self-service portal.

  1. Access the self-service portal (outside the university data network via VPN). Log in with your u:account in the format u\UserID and password.
  2. Click on Catalog in the menu on the left and then on Accounts.
  3. Select MindManager account and order the product.
  4. Once the order has been approved, a MindManager account with a personal license is created.
  5. Your MindManager account of the University of Vienna is:

    User name: u:account-UserID@univie.ac.at (for example, doejami1@univie.ac.at)
    Password: u:account password
  6. Activate MindManager by opening the MindManager website.
  7. Click Sign in at the top right.
  8. A new window will open. Click Sign in and enter your user name in the Email field. Click Sign in again.
  9. You will be redirected to the University of Vienna login page. Enter your user name again.
  10. Note: The registration process is analogous to that for Microsoft 365, including the required multi-factor authentication.
  11. Read the Terms of Use (in German) and make sure you are always signed in when using MindManager.

 Note

Your MindManager account allows you to access MindManager Web. You can use it to create and edit mind maps and diagrams directly in your browser without having to install other applications.

On the MindManager websites you can find detailed information and instructions for the MindManager software and you can download it as a desktop application.
