 Important note

To use the Microsoft Windows 11 Education upgrade version, Windows 10 version 2004 or higher must already be installed on your device.

Be sure to check whether your machine complies with the Windows 11 device specifications. You can use the PC Health Check App for this.

  • The functionality of Microsoft Windows 11 Education is comparable to the functionality of Windows 11 Enterprise. Further information about Windows 11 Education is available on the Windows support websites.
  • You can use Windows 11 Education on your private device for an unlimited period of time.

Installing Windows 11 Education

After completing your purchase order, you receive the following e-mails from SoftwareONE:

  • Receipt containing information about your purchase order.
  • E-mail containing download link and product key for Windows 11 Education.

 Note

The download link is valid for 1 month from the order date. You have to re-order Windows 11 Education if you do not download it within this month.


Download the files from the Internet and install them locally. You require administrator rights for the relevant device to install the software. 

  1. Click the software download link in the e-mail or directly after successful ordering in the order overview.
  2. You are redirected to the my software area in the AcadCloud.
  3. Click the download button in the Windows 11 Education area.
  4. You are redirected to the Microsoft website Downloading products for research and teaching.
  5. There you will find 3 options, how you can install or create a medium for Windows 11 Education.
  6. Choose the option that suits you.
  7. Follow the instructions in the Before area.
  8. Click the Download tool now button to start downloading Windows 11 Education.
  9. To install Windows 11 Education, follow the instructions given in the tool.
