How can I find out which Microsoft account I am using?
Users can distinguish between Microsoft accounts via the account information. You can find this after logging in
- via https://myaccount.microsoft.com under Organisations.
- via the Teams or Office app by clicking on the profile picture.
Your account is affected by the termination if
- unet.univie.ac.at is displayed. You can still save your data in OneDrive until 19 October 2025. After termination of the u:account, you will no longer be able to use your account.
Your account is not affected by the termination if
- Microsoft 365 of the University of Vienna is displayed. In this case, you already have an official Microsoft 365 account of the University of Vienna and do not need to do anything.
How do I log in to my Microsoft u:net account?
The login details for your Microsoft u:net account are:
- User name: amatriculationnumber@unetunivieacat.onmicrosoft.com
(Example: a12345678@unetunivieacat.onmicrosoft.com) - Password: Your chosen password
If you have forgotten your password, use the Microsoft user guide Reset your work or school password using security info for your user name in the format above amatriculationnumber@unetunivieacat.onmicrosoft.com.
