Managing optional connected experiences

This guide helps you manage optional connected experiences in Microsoft 365 apps.

 Note

If you have not obtained an add-on package for connected and optional connected experiences, connected and optional connected experiences are deactivated.

If required, order service SRV02483 – Microsoft 365 (add-on package) – Connected and optional connected experiences via the self-service portal (via Uni data network/VPN).

Detailed user guide

  1. Open any Office desktop app (Word, Excel, or PowerPoint).

    • Windows: Select File – Account – Account Privacy – Manage Settings from the menu.
    • macOS: Select Preferences – Privacy from the menu.

  2. Under Optional Connected Experiences, you can manage settings at any time if you have the add-on package.

    • If the option is enabled, you can use the optional connected experiences.
    • If the option is disabled, you cannot use the optional connected experiences.

Functions that analyse content can only be deactivated by returning the entire service SRV02483 – Microsoft 365 (additional package) – Connected and optional connected experiences via the self-service portal (via university data network/VPN).
