 Note

To use the Windows 10 Education upgrade version, Windows 7, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 must already be installed on your device.

  • The functionality of Windows 10 Education is comparable to the functionality of Windows 10 Enterprise. Further information about Windows 10 Education is available on the Windows support websites.
  • You can use Windows 10 Education on your private device for an unlimited period of time.

Installing Windows 10 Education

After completing your purchase order, you receive the following e-mails from SoftwareONE:

  • Receipt containing information about your purchase order.
  • E-mail containing download link and product key for Windows 10 Education.

 Note

The download link is valid for 1 month from the order date. You have to re-order Windows 10 Education if you do not download it within this month.


Download the files from the Internet and install them locally. You require administrator rights for the relevant device to install the software. 

  1. Click the download link in the e-mail.
  2. Click the Download Academic Products button.
  3. You are redirected to the Microsoft website Downloading products for research and teaching.
  4. Follow the instructions in the Before you begin area.
  5. Click the Download tool now button to start downloading Windows 10 Education.
  6. To install Windows 10 Education, follow the instructions given in the tool.
