Recovering deleted data

This user guide helps you to recover deleted data on centrally managed PCs.

  • Share drives and Y drive: Please contact the IT representative at your organisational unit. Look for your organisational unit at There you can find the names of the IT representatives.
  • Z drive: Please contact the ZID Helpdesk and indicate the exact name and storage location (folder) of the file as well as the exact or approximate date it was deleted.
  • Local storage: A centralised recovery is not possible. Check the recycle bin. In case you have enabled AutoSave in the Office applications, check the respective storage locations.
