Installing on centrally managed devices

This user guide will help you setting up Microsoft 365 desktop apps on a centrally managed device.

Requirements

  • Microsoft 365 subscription plan
  • Additional package Installation of Office apps on centrally managed devices

Installing desktop apps

On centrally managed devices, Microsoft 365 Office apps are automatically installed after ordering, with the exception of the Teams desktop app.

 Note

The Teams desktop app must be installed by yourself in any case. Use the user guide Installing Teams app.

Deinstalling desktop apps

After returning Microsoft 365 via the self-service portal, the software will be automatically uninstalled, with the exception of the Teams desktop app.

The uninstallation of the Teams desktop app must be carried out by users themselves:

  1. In the Start menu, right-click on the Microsoft Teams entry.
  2. Select the Uninstall entry in the context menu.
  3. The system control item Uninstall or change programme appears. Teams is already selected there.
