Using OpenAI in Azure

OpenAI is an Azure service that provides access to different OpenAI models, such as GPT, DALL-E and Whisper. Users can configure and use these models as they wish. This user guide will help you gain access to OpenAI and use OpenAI models web-based in Azure OpenAI Studio or via an interface (API).

Requirements

You have:

• ordered Microsoft Azure and already have access to the Microsoft Azure portal and the services it includes
• already created a resource group within your subscription

Process

The following preparatory steps are necessary:

1. Applying for OpenAI
2. Creating OpenAI resource
3. Deploying OpenAI model in resource

You can then use the OpenAI model:

• web-based via Azure OpenAI Studio
• via interface (API)
