Local complete backup

The management console can be used to create and download a complete backup of powered-off virtual machines (VM) in Open Virtualisation Format (OVF).

Open your VM. To do this, use the user guide Opening administration console for virtual servers.

With a right-click on your VM select Vorlage > OVF-Vorlage exportieren (Template > Exporting OVF template).

In the field Name type in the name of the template.

Note

If you export an OVF template with a name containing asterisks (*), these characters are converted to underscores (_).

To save all files associated with the template, click OK and confirm the prompts.

Recommendation: After a successful download, compare the checksums of the files with the values listed in the MF file.
