Processing personal data
With the help of u:ai, personal data may be processed. However, please note:

- Only process data from third parties with their consent.

Background
u:ai makes it possible to interact with various language models, such as ChatGPT from OpenAI, in the form of chats and other methods via a browser.
The service is provided by ACOmarket on an Azure tenant from Microsoft Ireland. The language models are licensed by Microsoft and offered via the Azure platform. This means that data entered by users in u:ai is not transmitted to the developers of the language models.
Note
You can find out under what conditions employees can use ChatGPT at the University of Vienna on the page Using ChatGPT in compliance with data protection regulations.
