u:account and student ID number

Let us start from the beginning: With your u:account UserID and the u:account password you can access the IT services of the University. By the way, it is not a disaster if you forgot your password. You can either set a new password yourself or ask the ZID Helpdesk for help.

Your personal student ID number is something you also need quite often. It is printed on your student ID card, the u:card. Moreover, you can always check it on u:space, the portal for organising and managing your studies.

Wi-Fi – eduroam

Wi-Fi is available in all university buildings. The University’s Wi-Fi is called eduroam. Connecting to it is very easy. If you have difficulties with eduroam, you can find Wi-Fi user guides on the ZID websites. Happy surfing! (But maybe not during courses.)
