Installing Planner, Project or Visio

For:  employees

This user guide will help you install the Microsoft Planner, Project or Visio app on your Windows device.

Note

There is no desktop app available for Microsoft Planner, Project or Visio on macOS and Linux.

Requirements

Please first order the service SRV02860 Microsoft Planner and Project Plan 3 – Account and Licence for Desktop and Web App via the self-service portal (via Uni data network/VPN).

  • Centrally managed PCs: Please also order the service SRV02866 – m: Microsoft Planner and Project (add-on package) – Installation of Planner and Project on centrally managed devices.

Please first order the service SRV02741 Microsoft Visio Plan 2 – Account and Licence for Desktop and Web App via the self-service portal (via Uni data network/VPN).

  • Centrally managed PCs: Additionally, order the service SRV02861 – m: Microsoft Visio (add-on pack) – Installation of Visio on centrally managed devices.

Detailed user guide

  1. Log in to the Microsoft portal m365.cloud.microsoft/apps/ using your Microsoft account of University of Vienna:
    • Username: UserID@univie.ac.at – for example: doejamie99@univie.ac.at
    • Password: u:account password
  2. Click Install apps in the top right-hand corner.
  3. Select the entry Microsoft 365 Apps.
  4. Under Office apps and devices, click on View apps and devices.

Under Apps and devices, select the app you wish to download locally.

Only apps that have been ordered via the self-service portal will be displayed.
