Configuring VPN software in Android

For:  students    employees

This user guide will help you to configure the VPN software on your Android device.

You can then establish a VPN connection in Android.

  1. Install F5 Access app
  2. Open F5 Access app – (Allow)
  3. Configure server
  4. Configuration name, server URL: https://vpn.univie.ac.at – Next
  5. Activate Web Logon – save

1. Installing VPN-Software

Download the F5 Access app from the Google Play Store and install it.

2. Opening VPN software

  1. Open the app.
  2. If you are asked whether F5 Access may send you notifications, tap Allow.

3. Adding configuration

Tap Configure server.

4. Entering configuration details

  1. Enter:
    • Configuration name: UniVPN (or any other name)
    • Server URL: https://vpn.univie.ac.at
  2. Tap Next.

5. Activating Web Logon

  1. Activate the option Web Logon.
  2. Confirm the settings with the checkmark in the right upper corner.
